Principal's Message

Central Modern School, Kolkata “I can do things you cannot, you can do things I cannot: together we can do great things” – St. Teresa of Kolkata.

Dear All,
It is true that together we can do great things. In the last three years that we have shifted to the new campus, our progress as an institution has been astoundingly electric. Academics and Co-curricular Achievements have been encouraging and defining. We are immensely happy that in this significant year of our celebration of 25 glorious years of affiliation with CISCE, New Delhi. We have made rapid all-round progress. A parent asked me the future plans of the school and all I said was, “I dream about the future and then I talk about them and still talk about them and hope that someone hears me, but I shall go on talking about them till everyone is so tired of me that they will try to realize these dreams, just to keep me quiet.” To share with you, one of my dreams is to see that all the young pupils, who have been entrusted with us, come out of the portals of this school as good citizens, worthy of our country – A dream which I carry as a legacy from our founder Principal, Late Chittajit De. There is another contrasting dream on which I sincerely wish that our Parents strike a balance – their Own Dream and their Ward’s Dream. Hope they do not attempt their own dream through their ward, impose on them their career path without honoring their potential, knack and aptitude. As an institution, we encourage creativity, originally and positive attitude among students with the constant support and guidance by our Teachers. I am sure that this 21st uninterrupted edition of VOYAGE will provide a wonderful reading experience to all our readers. In all humility and with a great sense of pride, I say, “Thank You” to all our patrons for placing their trust and confidence on us as we go forward seeking for God’s blessings.
