Central Modern School, Baranagar has added another glorious chapter
to its sporting legacy by winning the Pre-Subroto Cup(Regional) in West
Bengal, earning the honour of representing West Bengal at the National
Subroto Cup in Punjab. This achievement is the culmination of months of
relentless training, unwavering determination, and exceptional teamwork.
The road to the championship was far from easy. Battling rain-soaked
grounds and challenging conditions, our young footballers showcased remarkable
resilience throughout the tournament. The team secured memorable victories
against some of the state’s strongest footballing schools. Every match demanded
grit, discipline, and composure, making this state title a truly well-deserved
triumph. Our players embarked on a journey of over 1,800 kilometres from
Kolkata to Punjab, proudly carrying the hopes of our school and
representing West Bengal on the national stage.

Our Under-17 Boys’ Football Team proudly represented West Bengal at
the CISCE National Subroto Cup 2026, hosted by Sant Baba Hari Singh Model
School, Mahilpur, Punjab.
After winning the Pre-Subroto Trophy 2026 in West Bengal, our boys
earned their place at the national championship. The tournament was an
incredible opportunity to compete, learn, and grow alongside some of the finest
school teams in the country.
